Photos of this gull were taken along the lakefront in Chicago, Illinois, USA on 20 May 2001.  These pictures were taken with an Olympus C-3030 (3.3 mega-pixel) digital camera.  Other than cropping, these photos have not been manipulated in any way.  Please send all comments to [email protected]

Next

The gull was approximately the same size as two nearby Herring Gulls.  This gull stood out as different from the Herring Gulls due to:

·        The overall paleness

·        The proportionally larger, all dark eyes

·        The smudging around the eyes

·        Bill coloration
